Ace Ventura: Pet Detective
In the opening scene, someone is crawling through the shattered rear windshield of Ace's car while it is in motion. They show a shot from inside the car and the guy has about half of his body in the car. When they show an outside shot, his hands are barely inside the car. Then, in the next inside shot, half of his body is still in the car.
When he is in the aquarium tank looking into the glass, he has his glasses in his left hand, then it switches and he has them in his right the next second.
When the people take the dolphin and put it in the truck near the beginning, they close the truck door and the door is red. When it shows the truck driving away, the door is white.
At the end of the mission impossible music, where Ace is sneaking into the billionaires private Aquarium, there is a plant in the hallway shown from Outside of the building when Ace swings opens the door. But when he slams the door shuts and is inside the building no plant is there.
When Ace is in the tank and has found the ruby stone in the filter, he shakes it out onto his hand...from the far shot the gem is in the upper area of his hand, but when the camera comes in for a closer shot the gem is in the dead centre of his palm.
When he is in the asylum he is trying to hide in a little cardboard box from an employee of the building he crams himself into the box and when the man leaves he breaks out of it. He ends up completely squishing the box underneath him. When the camera comes in for the close up shot the farthest side of the box from the viewer is now undamaged.
Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls
Towards the end of the movie, after Ace figured the whole scheme out, the bad dude is sitting in front of a chess table playing chess as Ace comes in. For the next several shots of the dude, the chess pieces are in place. Then, all of a sudden, the chess pieces are mysteriously absent. The dude is just sitting in front of a chess table.
When Ace is hit with darts, his shirt falls off his shoulder but in the next shot, it's back on.
On the plane to Africa, the stewardess asks Ace if he wants peanuts but he winds up eating sunflower seeds or something of that nature because he spits the shells out on the man's arm.
Advise and Consent
Don Murray goes into the bathroom wearing a T-shirt under his shirt and tie (it clearly
shows through the shirt). When he
comes out he still has the shirt and tie on but the T-shirt has mysteriously disappeared.
Air America
As Mel Gibson and Robert Downey Jr. dangle within their downed helicopter in the Laotian jungle, it is clear that the canopy glass is broken and missing yet when each actor bails free from the craft, they both crash through the suddenly intact canopy glass.
Air Force One
In the scene where the bodyguard of the president is about to unlock the gun closet, he hands some papers to three guys sitting in chairs. Then he turns around and shoots them with two shots. Then it shows them dead, all three of them.
Kinda half way through the movie, Harrison Ford is shown being clever by having the other planes fire on the plane, thereby engaging the automatic pilot, so the bad guys have no control of the plane. At the end, when the MiGs come after them, Harrison Ford is shown again as being clever by dodging the missiles they fire at him. Aparently that automatic system got lost somewhere...
Airplane!
At the beginning, a man is asked to put all of his metal objects into the dish. He them proceeds to remove his prosthetic hand and foot. When he removes his foot, he reaches a good six inches away from himself to pick it up.
Near the end, as the wheel-less airplane is skidding along the runway, there are various cuts to the inside of the airport and the announcer gradually increasing the gate numbers as the plane speeds past them. As the plane is coming to a stop, however, there's one cut of the voice still rambling off gate numbers, but much faster then the first few.
Airplane! 2: The Sequel
When Stryker puts the time bomb on Rock (the computer) it shows a close up. If you look to the panel on the left, you can see a cameraman's head.
Aladdin
When Jafar is taking the half bug piece from the peasant, it looks like the piece he needs, later though, it is the piece he already has.
The tiger bites the seat off the suitor's trousers, allowing the viewer to see his polka-heart boxers. When we see the tiger in the courtyard, he has a part of the same boxer shorts in his mouth. So if he bit off the seat of the trousers, shouldn't he have purple cloth in his mouth?
The Sultan is not wearing a the "sacred blue diamond" when Jafar cons him out of it. Suddenly, the diamond appears on the Sultan's hand.
Aladdin: The Return of Jafar
In the scene where Aladdin is talking to Jasmine in front of the mirror the jeweled flower is in a vase with a real flower when the monkey under the table takes the real flower and the scene cuts back and shows the vase with both flowers. Seconds later the vase is completely empty.
Alien
In the part where Ripley was running to the escape ship, they had a scene were she came across about 5 eggs, supposedly laid by the alien. But they cut that out, as it would interfere with the sequel.
Aliens
In the scene where Newt is sliding across the grated floor, Bishop reaches out to save her and you can clearly see his waist - after he was cut in half.
When Ripley and the mother Alien are fighting above the flood-gate, we can clearly see that the light on the top of Ripley's robot is broken, but in the next scene this light is absolutely fine.
When Gorman and Burke come to see Ripley to persuade her to come to LV-426, Burke hands her a plastic card so she can call him if she changes her mind. At this point Ripley lights a cigarette. The scene then cuts to a view of the whole room, and Ripley can be seen lighting the cigarette again.
At the board meeting, discussing what should happen to Ripley, pictures of the crew of the Nostromo can be seen in the screen behind. No picture of Kane is displayed.
When Bishop is asked to do the 'Trick with the Knife', he can be seen quite clearly at times, just to move the knife from one place to another instead of between Hudson's fingers.
In the part of the film where Ripley and Gorman are inside the RV tank, and Ripley is trying to get the marines to get out of the bowls of the atmosphere processor before anymore get killed, she has the headset on, then in the next shot of her she doesn't, then she does, and then it gets ripped off by Gorman.
When they are all in the room in the beggining having a meeting with Ripley, pictures of the Nostromo crew are coming up in the background, but Kane never shows up, everyone else does.
American Graffiti
The black '55 Chevy changes from a 2 door sedan to a 4 door during the car wreck at the end.
Amistad
The lettering on Amistad's dinghy changes, from all capitals when the Africans come ashore, to upper and lower case when they return to the ship.
Amos and Andrew
Dabney Coleman's tinted glasses are cracked then the glass is missing altogether and then they are cracked again.
An American Werewolf in London
In the scene where the Jack (as a werewolf) exits the theatre, causing general havoc and mayhem, a car crashes into the one in front of it, sending the "driver" through the windshield. If you watch closely (or use slo-mo), you'll see that the driver goes through the windshield just before hitting the car in front of him (or her).
An American Werewolf in Paris
The boom microphone comes into the picture loads of times. It is most noticable in an outdoor scene with the two main characters, during an emotional argument, the boom mike drops almost fully into the screen, complete with a gray fuzzy covering.
Anaconda
In one shot when the boat is pulling away from the waterfall, you can clearly see that the shot is the same one they used earlier in the movie. The water from the waterfall now is going up the cliff! They have just put it in reverse.
Angels in the Outfield
Through the whole movie they make a big deal about how the young character "JP" doesn't ride in cars because he used to live in one (they take him places in a bus, van, etc.). Yet, in the end, his friend is sitting in the car, depressed, and JP sits next to him in the car to console him.
Animal house
During the classroom scene, Donald Sutherland writes the word "Satan" on the board. In the first shot, the "t" in Satan in directly over the crease on the chalkboard. In the next shot, it is clearly on one side of the crease.
The car Flounder drives is made in '64, the movie takes place in '62.
The song Louie, Louie was written in '64.
During the toga party, the mustard stain on Bloto's toga, disappears and reappears.
When the Fraternity house is being taken down, the Greek letters switch places.
In the scene where Otter and Boon are hitting golf balls near the ROTC drills, Otter puts down the golf bag he is carrying and draws a club. The camera moves to the ROTC trainees, and when it comes back to the golfers, the bag is back on Otter's shoulder and there is no club out of the bag.
At the end of the movie when the riot is taking place, Niedermeyer takes out a bullet and fires upon Flounder from maybe ten feet away and misses - all the bullet does is shatter the seltzer bottle and nothing else. In real life he would have hit not only Flounder because of the short range but if he had hit the seltzer bottle it would have done more than just break the bottle - it would have hit a pedestrain ruinnning behind Flounder.
Apollo 13
You have to be a Beatles fan to notice, but in the scene where Lovell's daughter is whining and moaning that the Beatles have broken up, she slams "Let It Be" (the album) into her rack. Apollo 13 occurs on April 13, 1970. Let It Be was not released until May 9, 1970. Must pay to work for NASA!
In the part where the mission control guy is explaining how they're going to sling shot around the moon, the pictures on the chalkboard change.
The corvette Tom Hanks drives is the '70, '71, or '72 model, but the scene where we see him drive the corvette is in July 1969.
As the Apollo 13 crew is readying to "slingshot" around the back of the moon,
burn calculations are being made by Houston which are relayed to the crew. Tom Hanks is
calculating total fuel amounts in the various fuel tanks by mathematical addition using a
slide rule. You don't add and subtract with a slide rule. You multiply and divide.
After their slingshot around the back of the moon, the movie's tenseness calms as Tom
Hanks turns his head to look out one of the module's windows at the moon, and then turns
his head to the other adjacent window to look at a serene view of the earth. The tenseness
shouldn't have calmed. If the moon is on one side of you and the earth is on the other ...
you're going the wrong way.
There is a shot of Ed Harris, and lying on his desk is a pack of Camel cigarettes. On the pack there is a surgeon general's warning. However, in 1970 there were no warnings on cigarette packs.
Just after the explosion, there is a shot of Odyssey's instrument panel with the mission timer reading 91 hours and 34 minutes. The accident occured around 56 hours into the flight. The next time the mission timer is seen, it reflects the proper time.
The Apostle
The twins play their ukuleles twice. The first time they both play left-handed, the second time one plays right-handed.
The Aristocats
Duchess' collar changes throughout the film - particularly the early scenes before they are catnapped.
Edgar gets the seat bitten out of his trousers at least three times when being pursued by the dogs - it miraculously repairs itself.
Marie falls off the viaduct into the river but doesn't get washed along by the current at all (until they spot her and start the rescue that is).
Army of Darkness
The Necronomicon from the previous film, Evil Dead 2, looks different from the one in this film.
There are only five and a half to six quarts of blood in the human body; not enough to create such a geyser.
When all is back to normal and Ash is back at his job at S-Mart, a witch shows up and starts trashing the place. Ash is knocked behind the sporting goods counter, where there is (of course) a cabinet containing shotguns. Ash then jumps up and blows the witch away. I have never seen a shotgun which can hold about 30 shots, which is how many he fired.
During the final showdown between Ash and Bad Ash, Bad Ash tosses a dagger at Ash. The way he flings it, it seems to land sideways at his feet, but a camera cut shows it to stab the stone beneath Ash as he rolls to the side.
Where does Ash get the gas for the chainsaw?
When Bad Ash is separating from Good Ash, Bad Ash is on the right, and controls the right side of the body, including the mechanical hand. So when they separate, Ash should get a new hand, and Bad Ash should have the mechanical hand. When they actually do separate, why does Ash have the mechanical hand?
When Ash is sucked through the Vortex at the beginning you can see the rope around him. You can only see it for a split second when you see him fly through the woods.
When Ash emerges from the Vortex, he falls on what looks like mats. When he coughs, the mats are gone.
Ash starts out by landing in a strange, unknown desert....in England....how many deserts are there in England? Two seconds later he is no longer in a desert anyway.
During the big battle between Good Ash and Bad Ash, in the background you can see two living soldiers fighting each other.
When Ash opens his trunk to get out some useful items, there is a Fangoria magazine and the cover is for Army of Darkness.
At the end of Evil Dead II, Ash is surrounded by soldiers. When a deadite comes swooping down, he blows it away with his shotgun, and is heralded by the soldiers. However, in Army of Darkness none of this takes place, and Ash is accused of being a spy.
When Lord Arthur shoots the crossbow at the fleeing prisoner near the beginning, the camera angle changes to that of the arrow. For a moment, before the camera changes angles again, the arrow is going slower than the guy running.
The Arrival
At one point Charlie Sheen is trying to get into a certain facility and is stopped by security. The guard puts his clipboard on top of the car while they talk. When Sheen kicks the car into reverse to run through the hedges the clipboard has disappeared.
Near the end, when Charlie sheen is in a room trying to program stuff, he blocks off the door with an axe so no one can get in. When the van breaks the door, watch the head of the axe - it hits the floor, but mysteriously pops up and goes towards Charlie to miss him by an inch or two.
As Good As It Gets
Midway through the film, Helen Hunt is on a bus or subway car heading to Jack Nicholson's
apartment in Manhattan. She is going to tell him that she won't sleep with him after he
has given her son free medical care. She is in a pensive mood and the camera pulls out
showing her in the window. As the camera pulls out further, the readable sign on the side
of the bus or train says "out of service."
In the scene where she is leaving to go to Jack Nicholson's house you can see her bra strap/connector in her overly tight shirt. By the time she gets to Jack's place she has on a very wet t-shirt with her nipples prominently showing. Did she give her bra to the bus driver?
Jack Nicholson's apartment is across the hall and - notice - down one step from Greg Kinnear's apartment. So how did Greg get to Jack's door in his wheelchair? Going down, sure, gravity would take over - but getting back up?
When Jack and Helen Hunt enter the restaurant on their trip, a certain song is playing. (I can't recall what song). Jack leaves to buy a jacket, returns, and just after they are seated, you hear the female band leader say, "Here's a special song for (blah blah blah)..." And it's the same song they played 10 minutes ago.
Simon's head scar disappears when he gets to Baltimore, only to reappear later.
When the trio is driving to Baltimore, Helen Hunt is at the wheel at one point. She says that she is going to pull over to give Simon her undivided attention. When she says this the convertible top is down, but in the next scene, the top is up before she stops the car.
Assassins
Near the end, when the Russian assassin (which "Robert" thought he killed years earlier) comes into the room, he sets the case down, takes off his sunglasses with his left hand and kicks "Miguel" to see if he's dead. Just before the kick, the camera changes angle and we see the sunglasses on the case instead of in the Russian's hand.
Stallone is eating a banana when he is on the computer in the Mariott. He takes a bite and the banana is smaller, then in the next shot it is bigger again.
Austin Powers - International Man of Mystery
There are close-ups of Burt Bacharach playing piano and singing to Mike Myers and Elizabeth Hurley on top of a "bus" as they cruise through Las Vegas. From a long shot as the vehicle travels by, it's very obvious that it's not Burt playing, but a stand-in.
At the end, during Austin's confrontation with the FemBots, he lights them all a cigarette. In one scene the cigarettes fly into their mouths. In the next scene they are gone and they are no where around them.
When Mike Myers and Elizabeth Hurley are on top of the bus, for one scene Mike Myers' teeth are clean.
After Austin and Vanessa's night on the town, she falls asleep on Austin, holding a champagne glass, the laptop computer starts beeping, and when Austin pushes her off of him, the glass disappears.
In the scene where they are going through Las Vegas on the top of the bus there are
several times when Austin stops walking and Vanessa does not.
Also in the scene near the beginning when Austin is walking around naked and Vanessa is
holding a magnifying glass she is concentrating very hard on watching the monitor off the
screen.
Avalon
The grandfather, father, and son all have VERY blue eyes, but in the flashback scenes, the actor playing the grandfather as a young man has very dark eyes.
